Edge-to-Cloud AI Pipelines for Industrial IoT Using SAP Leonardo and Blockchain

The convergence of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), edge computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain technology is reshaping the future of digital manufacturing and industrial automation. This paper explores how SAP Leonardo serves as an integrative digital innovation system enabling edge-to-cloud AI pipelines. We investigate blockchain’s role in enhancing data security and trust in IIoT environments. Through a review of foundational research and architectural models, this paper proposes an optimized AI pipeline architecture leveraging SAP Leonardo and blockchain. Two diagrams and two tables are presented to illustrate system architecture and comparative evaluations.
